ExpertCaring Surgery for Your Pet
At Edmonds Veterinary Hospital, we take great care to make sure your pet is comfortable at all times and that you are well informed every step of the way.
All pets undergoing surgery at our veterinary hospital receive the following precautions and surgical care:
-
Comprehensive pain control
Including dental blocks, cold laser therapy, injectable and oral medication as needed. -
Heated surgical beds
Keep your pets temperature controlled while under anesthesia. -
IV catheter and IV fluid support
Protects your pet’s blood pressure and allows intravenous access in case of a complication. -
Intubation
Allows us to protect the airway, deliver oxygen and anesthetic gas as needed. -
Pulse Oximeter
Measures blood oxygen levels. -
ECG
Monitors your pets heart rate and rhythm. -
Temperature
Constant temperature monitor alerts the Dr. if your pet’s temperature is too high or too low. -
Blood Pressure
Monitors blood pressure which is important to detect shock and high or low blood pressure events.
Your pet is never alone before, during, or after surgery. We ensure that someone from our staff is always with your pet so he or she can be carefully monitored and kept as calm and comfortable as possible every step of the way.
